Yasmeen Enahora attended Tisch School of the Arts, New York University as a Master of Fine Arts student. She currently serves as a photographer and cinematographer for District Photography.
Enahora has done behind the scenes photography for the music video, “Gold In The River” directed by Sheldon Chau. Earlier this year, during Black History Month, Enahora was featured in a photography exhibition and panel at Latham + Watkins LLP. Her artwork showcased still photography from Agropoli, Italy. Prior to showcasing her work, she received a full scholarship to attend Toscana Dance Hub in Florence and Agropoli, Italy. During her tenure in Italy, Enahora choreographed and documented "Leitmotif," a work based on the responsibility of artists in society.
In 2016, Enahora exhibited her work in a solo exhibition titled “noir et blanc,” which showcased black and white images. Enahora graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and minor in Dance. Enahora was listed as an HBCU Top 30 under 30 student in 2015.
Enahora began her photographic journey developing film in high school, during a class which focused on 35mm analog cameras. Her eye and photography catches rhythm, motion, patterns, shapes and synchronization all inspired from her experience in dance.
